Arrive in Kunming and be welcomed by your local guide.

After lunch, enjoy the vistas from West Mountain, located on the west side of Dianchi Lake, known for its forest park and wonderful temples, including the Dragon Door, which you’ll reach by cable car.

Visit an ancient Chinese pharmacy and tour the flower market, one of the largest of its kind in China.

In the afternoon, head to Yuantong Temple, one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Kunming, founded during the Tang Dynasty (618–907) and rebuilt during the Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368).

Enjoy dinner and return to the hotel.

Flight to Dali – The Three Pagodas – Cormorant Fishing on Erhai Lake – Sha Village – Old Town

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight to Dali.

Upon arrival, be welcomed by your guide.

Visit the Three Pagodas, symbol of Dali, then head to Sha Village and Erhai Lake to observe traditional fishing with cormorants.

Stroll through Dali’s old town, a charming place surrounded by an ancient wall and filled with narrow streets lined with shops.

Meet with local residents by Erhai Lake to prepare dinner and spend a pleasant typical evening together.

Return to the hotel.

The Bai Homes of Xizhou – The Three Phases of Tea Tasting – Batik Village, Zhoucheng – Shibaoshan Caves – Village of Shaxi

Have breakfast at the hotel.

Visit Xizhou village and see the traditional Bai minority homes.

Learn about the Bai people’s traditional tea culture, participating in the “Three Phases of Tea Tasting”: bitter first, then sweet, then fragrant.

Visit a batik workshop in Zhoucheng village.

Afterwards, head to Shibaoshan Mountain, unique for its caves and collection of pagan and Buddhist sculptures from the 9th to 13th centuries.

Continue to Shaxi village, an important stop on the ancient tea and silk trading routes.

Overnight stay in Shaxi.

Drive to Zhongdian – Yila Grassland – Songzanlin Monastery – Old Town

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic three-to-four-hour drive to Zhongdian, known as Shangri-la.

Stop at Yila Grassland, considered one of the most beautiful areas in Yunnan.

In Zhongdian, visit Songzanlin Tibetan Monastery, a vast 300-year-old complex housing hundreds of monks.

In the evening, explore Zhongdian’s old town and enjoy Tibetan dancing.

Overnight at Huatai Hotel.

Ringha (Dabao) Monastery – Tiger Leaping Gorge

Visit Ringha (Dabao) Monastery, the oldest surviving Gelugpa (Yellow Hat) monastery in the region.

Continue to the breathtaking Tiger Leaping Gorge and walk along the valley.

Proceed to Lijiang.

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Old Town – Black Dragon Pool

Have breakfast at the hotel.

Stroll through Lijiang’s old town.

Visit Black Dragon Pool for stunning views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (Yulong Shan).

Return to the hotel.

Cycle to Baisha Village – Longquan and Yushui Villages – Evening with the Naxi People at Huangshan Xiang, Lijiang

Have breakfast at the hotel.

Ride a bike (or transfer) to Baisha village.

Visit Longquan and Yushui villages.

Spend the evening in Huangshan Xiang in Lijiang, meeting locals, tasting cuisine, and dancing with the Naxi people.

Transfer to Lijiang East train station for the night train back to Kunming (departs 10:42 PM / arrives 7:06 AM).

Shilin – Stone Forest

Arrive in Kunming, meet your guide, and have breakfast.

Take an excursion to Shilin, the Stone Forest, a natural wonder formed over 270 million years ago.

Enjoy lunch along the way.

Return to Kunming for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Transfer to the airport or train station according to your travel plans.
