Located in the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province, Jiuzhaigou Valley stretches over 72,000 hectares of pristine alpine scenery. Its name, meaning “Valley of Nine Villages,” comes from the nine ancient Tibetan villages scattered within its boundaries. The valley is celebrated for its crystal-clear lakes, multi-tiered waterfalls, and forests that blaze with seasonal colors — emerald in summer, golden in autumn, and white with snow in winter.

Jiuzhaigou is also home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including endangered species such as the giant panda and Sichuan golden monkey. Visitors can follow wooden walkways and eco-friendly shuttle buses to explore the scenic spots, from the mirror-like waters of Five Flower Lake to the thundering Nuorilang Waterfall. Inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992, Jiuzhaigou is both a natural wonder and a testament to successful ecological preservation.
